La Baraque
A selection of views of Hans Louvet's layout " La Baraque" . This is a model of a passing place on the metre gauge line from Clermont-Ferrand to Puy de Dôme. This unusual railway, which only lasted from 1908-1925, used the Hanscotte system (similar to the Fell system) to climb the gradients. A full description of this layout appeared in the "Continental Modeller" November and December 2012 issues as well as the SSMRS Gazette (since June 2009). The layout uses 16.5mm gauge track to represent metre gauge in S. Scale. |
